🌙 Purpose & Philosophy

Witch Voices™ is dedicated to fostering an open, welcoming, and safe digital space for practitioners across all spiritual paths, traditions, and metaphysical interests. A thriving community requires clear boundaries, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to personal safety.

These Community Guidelines establish the standards of conduct expected of every registered user. These rules are enforceable under our Terms of Service and apply across public articles, forum threads, group discussions, comments, and direct messages.

1. Core Principles

• Mutual Respect: Vigorous, intelligent debate and theological disagreements are welcome; dehumanizing conduct, insults, and harassment are not.
• Safety & Responsibility: Do not promote, instruct, or encourage self-harm, physical violence, dangerous botanical ingestion, or hazardous fire practices.
• Privacy First: Witch Voices™ is designed around pseudonymity. Respect other members' boundaries and anonymity.
• Anti-Exploitation: Do not leverage spiritual claims to manipulate, intimidate, defraud, or coerce vulnerable members.
• Originality & Attribution: Respect creators. Share your original experiences, cite sources, and never plagiarize.

2. Permitted & Encouraged Content

We actively encourage members to share:

• Original essays, historical research, folklore, and educational tutorials regarding witchcraft, paganism, and metaphysics.
• Personal perspectives, ritual observations, divination interpretations, and spiritual gnosis.
• Creative works, altar photography, poetry, original music, and digital art.
• Curated listings, reviews, and event announcements for legitimate local metaphysical brick-and-mortar storefronts.
• Constructive feedback, questions, and thoughtful inquiries from beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

3. Prohibited Content & Severe Violations

The following activities and content categories are strictly forbidden across the Platform:

3.1 Harassment, Hate Speech, and Abuse

• Direct threats of physical violence, incitement to riot, or encouraging self-harm.
• Hate speech targeting race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or age.
• Targeted dogpiling, persistent unwanted messaging, stalking, or online bullying.

3.2 Doxxing & Breach of Anonymity

• Publishing another individual's real legal name, telephone number, residential address, place of employment, or social media handles without their explicit written consent.
• Attempting to unmask or deanonymize another member's pseudonym.

3.3 Spiritual Fraud, Manipulation, and Coercion

• Claiming supernatural authority to intimidate, terrorize, or extort other users (e.g., claiming to place a fatal hex unless payment is made).
• Soliciting funds, fees, or gifts from users in exchange for guaranteed spellwork, curse removals, or miracle medical healings.
• Preying on users experiencing severe grief, bereavement, trauma, or clinical crisis.

3.4 Dangerous Ingestion, Toxicity, and Fire Hazards

• Publishing instructions promoting the consumption, drinking, smoking, or internal use of poisonous or toxic botanicals (e.g., belladonna, datura, foxglove, aconite).
• Sharing instructions encouraging the ingestion of undiluted essential oils, unsafe homemade chemical mixtures, or hazardous minerals.
• Promoting reckless fire, flame, or combustion practices in enclosed areas without basic safety warnings.

3.5 Deceptive Practices, Commercial Spam, and Scams

• Deploying automated posting scripts, bots, web-crawlers, or affiliate link networks.
• Posting deceptive advertisements, cryptocurrency promotions, pyramid schemes, or multi-level marketing (MLM) recruitments.
• Impersonating administrators, moderators, prominent public figures, or other registered users.

3.6 Exploitation of Minors

• Zero tolerance: Any posting, transmission, or facilitation of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or predatory targeting of minors will result in immediate termination, an irrevocable IP ban, and reporting to law enforcement authorities (NCMEC).

4. Community Etiquette & Behavioral Standards

• No Spiritual Gatekeeping: Metaphysical practice is deeply varied and personal. You may explain your tradition, but do not harass or belittle users whose personal practice diverges from yours.
• Medical Boundaries: You may discuss traditional folklore and herbal history. You may NOT prescribe treatments, provide medical diagnoses, or advise members to discontinue clinical prescriptions or medical care.
• Content Categorization: Keep threads organized. Post within the relevant subcategory, use accurate tags, and provide appropriate trigger warnings when discussing sensitive folklore or historical themes.

5. Commercial Directory Standards

Witch Voices™ provides directory space for local metaphysical brick-and-mortar storefronts. Commercial listings must:

• Accurately represent physical operating hours, location, and legitimate services.
• Refrain from making unverified medical, clinical, or guaranteed predictive claims.
• Never attempt to execute user-to-user marketplace transactions through the Platform's general boards.

6. Reporting & Enforcement

Enforcement of these guidelines is overseen by platform moderators and administrators in accordance with our Moderation Policy.

• To report a violation, click the report flag on the post or submit an issue via Report an Issue.
• Violations are subject to tiered enforcement: guidance reminders, formal warnings, temporary feature restrictions, suspensions, or permanent bans.
• Decisions may be appealed within 14 days by submitting a formal appeal to contact@witchvoices.com.
